Suruç,(pronounced [ˈsuɾut͡ʃ], Kurdish: Pirsûs‎) is a rural district and city of Şanlıurfa Province of Turkey, on a plain near the Syrian border 46 kilometres (29 mi) south-west of the city of Urfa.
